The Problem

Calculating shipping costs required staff to jump between multiple tabs, manually pull product dimensions, and crunch numbers by hand — a process taking anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes per order. A separate fulfillment workflow had staff hunting through a CRM and emailing the shipping team manually, leading to delays and errors.

The Solution

Nematic built a centralized ShipBob shipping calculator that consolidates all required inputs into a single interface. A second workflow was built using Google Forms + Zapier to automatically route order requests and trigger email notifications to the fulfillment lead — no CRM digging required.

The Results

  • Shipping cost calculations cut from 10–30 min down to 3–5 minutes

  • Full calculation + invoice creation reduced from 20–30 min to ~15 minutes

  • 68% average time savings per workflow run

  • Fulfillment errors and communication delays eliminated
